If I saw the parade

Looking Professional

Squee!  I just ordered my business cards tonight and I am so excited!  I hope they look as cool online as they do in real life.

As you can tell I now have a chair in a salon in Carmichael, Ca.  It's part-time right now since I also got hired out at SportsClips in Rockin, Ca.  Today I also put in my official letter of resignation at the photography studio.  They have been there for me for so long but I am so happy to pursue a career in something I love.  So wish me well and here is a preview of my new cards.

Drudgery

Work, interview, sleep, work, sleep, and repeat.

Yea that's pretty much what I have been doing for the past couple of months.  Ever since I got my license I have been applying everywhere for a job.  Had a couple of really good interviews, but me being me was a little too truthful probably cost me the jobs.  Oh, well.

Work is going and I believe me I am very grateful for work.  On certain days I want to walk out and never return.  I know that photography is a luxury but I would like to survive as well.  Just because it's digital doesn't mean we can have a super quick turn around.  It is a production based company and we have limited staff.  We still treat it like a negative despite what size you order.  Please be aware of this and be patient.

On a social note, I have really no social life.  I think I am doing a retreating thing which in it self isn't a bad thing though it gets lonely at times.  But I have to say the plus side is that I have been sewing again  Huzzah for commissioned projects and new outfits for me.

Not much else going on but lots of babies being born.  So congratulations to my cousins, Erin, Kira and Colleen for welcoming healthy little boys into our ever expanding family.  As well a hearty welcome to my neighbors new son Connor.  Oh, and there are more coming!  Goodness this is going to be a bumper crop year of new humans.  Kinda feeling the ping of offspring jealousy but then I borrow one, play with it and return it back to its mother to which I am appeased for a while.

Well dinner is done and I am famished.  Plans on writing more soon. :)
